The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. has announced that Olivier Bottrie has expanded his role to include the strategic development of the company’s retail stores globally. Bottrie is now global president, Travel Retail and Retail Development, continuing to report directly to Cedric Prouvé, group president, International and with an added matrix line to Chris Good, president, North America for his new retail responsibilities. He will also continue to serve as a member of the company’s executive leadership team. Bottrie has served as president, Travel Retail Worldwide, since 2004. He and his global team tripled sales over the past 10 years, ending FY17 with its best growth in five years. He has been with The Estée Lauder Companies for more than 20 years, holding positions of increasing responsibility throughout his tenure. Michael Smith has been appointed senior vice president and chief information officer to lead The Estée Lauder Companies’ global information services. Smith is a seasoned leader who brings a mix of Information Technology (IT), commercial and functional experience to this leadership role. Leveraging his experience, he will further advance innovation in IT applications and infrastructure to effectively support and enable the company’s growth strategy and the evolving needs of its brands and business. Smith joins ELC from Boma Technologies, a technology consulting company that he founded and served as chief executive officer, specializing in technology and management advisement for the sports, life sciences and technologies industries. For more than 25 years, he held various technology leadership positions. The following ELC appointments are effective January 1, 2018: Fabrice Weber has been appointed president, Prestige and Artisanal Fragrances and ELC Ventures. Weber will assume oversight of Jo Malone London, Aramis and Designer Fragrances (ADF), Le Labo, By Kilian, Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle and the Company’s ELCV portfolio. He will report to John Demsey, executive group president. Daniel Annese, global brand president, Aramis and Designer Fragrances, will take on a special assignment before retiring in January 2019. He will continue reporting to Demsey. Patrice Béliard has been appointed senior vice president, global general manager, Aramis and Designer Fragrances, reporting to Weber. Béliard will succeed Annese, and will join the Extended Executive Leadership Team. Mark Loomis has been appointed president, Asia/Pacific, reporting to Cedric Prouvé, group president, International. Loomis succeeds Weber and will join the Executive Leadership Team. Joy Fan has been promoted to senior vice president, general China, reporting to Loomis. Fan will also lead the Asia/Pacific region’s contributions to an enterprise-wide Consumer Engagement project, and will add a reporting line to Jane Hertzmark Hudis, Group President, for this new responsibility. Christopher K. Wood has been appointed senior vice president, Asia/Pacific. He will report to Loomis.
